firefly

first 

a flicker 

then another

at the corner of my eye 

slowly blinking 

shyly winking 

did a star fall 

from the sky

first

a flicker 

then another 

in the shadows on  my lawn   

slowly flashing     

slyly dashing   

i turn around 

and you are gone
